FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

What insurances are accepted?

Renegade Movement and Performance is an out-of-network provider for all insurance companies. This allows us the opportunity to focus 100% of our attention and efforts on helping YOU, rather than putting our energy into battling with insurance companies. We can give you the care and experience you deserve, not just the treatment that pays the most. Period.

Can I still see you even though you do not take my insurance?

Absolutely! We are designated as an out-of-network provider per your insurance company.

Although we do not personally work with your insurance company, you can submit for reimbursement after each session with the paperwork we provide to you if you choose to.

We have an insurance benefits worksheet that you can use to determine your eligibility for reimbursement.

Who will I be seeing?

We have individual treatment schedules. You’ll always see the same provider (unless otherwise requested). We do not pass patients between providers.

Do I need a prescription from my doctor to see you?

Nope! In New Hampshire, patients are not required to have a prescription from a doctor to receive physical therapy services. When submitting for insurance reimbursement, you may need to obtain a prescription at your insurance’s request.

A prescription is never required to come to see us.

What can I expect with a physical therapy session?

During your first PT session, your provider will conduct a thorough examination in order to determine the root cause of your concerns and develop a comprehensive plan to remediate them. The examination consists of a series of movement analysis tests specific to your concerns. If you are having hip pain with squatting, we’re going to squat. From the initial session on, all treatment will be tailored to your individual needs. Because each individual is widely different from the next, Physical Therapy treatment is never a cookie-cutter experience.

What do I wear to my appointments?

Comfortable workout attire. We’ll be moving a lot, so whatever you’re comfortable moving in is perfect. If you prefer working out in pants, it is best to bring a pair of shorts as well.

What is dry needling?

Dry needling helps target muscular tension and movement restrictions at their source, and can act as a standalone service or as part of a broader treatment plan. This technique is commonly used to reduce discomfort, enhance range of motion, and accelerate recover, especially for active individuals who want to stay strong and pain-free.

How often are my appointments?

Typically we see patients 1x/week and will place more time between visits accordingly.

How many visits will I need?

The number of visits needed is dependent on your individual situation and long-term goals, but most of our patients typically require between 5-10 visits. A more accurate estimation can be made after your initial evaluation, and our team is here to support your fitness journey every step of the way.

What is pelvic health physical therapy?

Pelvic health physical therapy is a specialized form of care that focuses on the muscles, ligaments, and connective tissues of the pelvic floor. It’s designed to address concerns such as pelvic pain, core weakness, bladder or bowel dysfunction, and postpartum recovery. Treatment is personalized and may include hands-on techniques, targeted exercises, and education to help restore strength, coordination, and confidence.

Do you have a place to change into athletic clothes at the clinic?

Yes. We have a full bathroom and locker room. You may shower if you need to after your appointment.

What is the procedure for coming to appointments?

All of our patients are instructed to arrive about 5 minutes early but wait in their car. Patients come inside at the time of their appointment. We do not overlap appointment times, but we have strategically given ourselves enough time between appointments to clean, grab a snack, or take care of any personal business. Please wait until the curtain is drawn back and the “Welcome!” sign is displayed.

Is there anything I need to do prior to coming to see you?

Yes! We will be sending you forms to fill out prior to your first appointment via email. We will need these to be completed before you arrive.

Do I need to have an MRI or Xray before I see you?

Nope! We can talk more about this during your initial appointment, but this is not necessary for most people.

Do I need to bring anything to appointments?

Clothes you can move in, any accessory gear that may be relevant (lifting shoes, straps, etc.) If you have any questions, just shoot us a text and ask. 🙂
